Jennifer Lopez, Ed Helms, and Isla Fisher Will Soon Be Expecting
I can see the head! And it's … J.Lo? The big screen adaptation of What To Expect When You're Expecting is entering its final trimester, and Vulture hears exclusively that the studio is more than a little pregnant with a deal to put Jennifer Lopez in the comedy opposite Cameron Diaz. Nominally based on the eponymous global best-seller by Heidi Murkoff and Sharon Mazel (which has sold 15 million copies), the project sold in a bidding war to Lionsgate Films based on a pitch by Heather Hach (Freaky Friday, Legally Blonde: The Musical) in January 2010. Shooting is scheduled to start in just four weeks.
We're also told by knowledgeable sources that Lionsgate has set Isla Fisher for a part that had been offered to Bridesmaids co-writer and star Kristen Wiig, who passed owing to her rigorous Saturday Night Live commitment this fall. The studio is also said to be in negotiations with The Office and Hangover II star Ed Helms to play one of the expectant fathers, and similarly, we're told that Lionsgate has been eager to recruit another TV star in Matthew Morrison, but the his incredibly tight schedule for Glee and his current tour in support of his solo album means it's not likely that he'll be able to make his schedule work.
As you might expect, What To Expect follows six couples of varying ages and backgrounds in the run-up to delivery of their babies, in a manner very similar to New Line Cinema's ensemble confections like He's Just Not That Into You and Valentine's Day. (Or, as one wag put it to Vulture, "We've been calling it He Was That Into You, So Much So That He Knocked You Up.")

Jennifer Lopez In Talks For 'Parker'
EXCLUSIVE: There has been much speculation over whether Jennifer Lopez will return for another season as judge on American Idol. Adding to the intrigue: she is in talks to star in not one, but two feature films. I'm told that Lopez is in discussions to play the female lead opposite Jason Statham in Parker, the Taylor Hackford-directed action film adaptation of the Donald Westlake mystery novel series. Deadline revealed yesterday that the picture was acquired for U.S. distribution by FilmDistrict CEO Peter Schlessel.
Statham will play Parker, a thief who follows a strict moral code, but a hard guy who's willing to kill if crossed. That character was previously played by Mel Gibson in Payback and Lee Marvin in Point Blank. The hope is to hatch an action franchise. John J. McLaughlin wrote the script and Steve Chasman is producing with Kimmel, Hackford, Les Alexander and Jonathan Mitchell. Lopez plays the female lead, a character named Leslie, who gets involved with Parker as he executes a heist.
The film is being financed by Incentive Filmed Entertainment and Sidney Kimmel Entertainment and Sierra/Affinity's Nick Meyer brokered that distribution deal and sold most worldwide territories at last month's Cannes Film Festival. Production on that film begins in August.

Jennifer Lopez amused by daughter’s Spanish
Jennifer Lopez has revealed her daughter speaks fake Spanish and is desperate to grow up.
The superstar has three-year-old twins Max and Emme and is a hands-on mother and never travels without her kids, who love to visit new countries. Jennifer is keen for the twins to be bilingual so she speaks both English and Spanish to them. While Emme has grasped many English phrases, she isn’t quite as advanced in Spanish.
“My daughter walks around saying, ‘I am going to be four, I am going to be four.’ They want to grow up so fast and I am like, ‘Trust me, slow down!’” Jennifer laughed in an interview with British television show Lorraine. “Yes, we speak to them in both Spanish and English. They don’t know all the Spanish words, so they will talk in a way that sounds like Spanish, which is very funny. My daughter will say something and I will be like, ‘Is that your Spanish?!’”
Jennifer also insisted she would support her children if they decided to follow in the footsteps of their famous parents and pursue a career in entertainment. The singer-and-actress claims it would be difficult to prevent her kids wanting to be stars if they set their heart on it.
“It is hard, you know. But here is what I know about this business and here’s what I know about doing what I do, there’s no way if they really wanted to do it that I could stop them. So I would support them,” the 41-year-old star explained. “It is creative [at home], we don’t have a lot of music all the time, you know, because we work so much with music so that is like the office. So when we are at home it is more of a quiet environment, believe it or not.”
